The World Languages Program prepares you for today’s diverse societies with economic and job competitiveness, local and global challenges and opportunities, by developing your language and cross-cultural proficiency. Our diverse faculty members are researchers, teachers, and writers who are dedicated to educate global citizens who possess foreign language skills in addition to global and cultural knowledge in order to better engage and work with diverse populations and places.
Satisfy the B.A. language requirement. Take two beginner courses or one upper-level course. Get free tutoring. Make your language studies count: Take a higher-level course to satisfy the requirement to make progress towards a major or minor if you have previous language experience. Students who have taken French or Spanish before must take a placement test or can get credit-by-examination.
