Now in its third year, USF St. Petersburg is proud to host its signature Alumni College, an opportunity for alumni to come back to campus to hear of interesting topics taught by current campus faculty. This year’s two-day, “classes without quizzes” themed event offers alums a unique way to reconnect with fellow Bulls, network with current faculty and staff and enjoy pre and post events that celebrate so much of what USFSP has to offer.

When Learning About the Planets Means Learning About Ourselves and Our Cultures. How STEM Can Integrate It All.

Dr. Rosengrant recently joined USFSP from Kennesaw State University. During his nine years of service there he was awarded Science Professor of the year for the entire state of Georgia in 2014.  Dr. Rosengrant’s work involves combining STEM education with technology such as eye-tracking, virtual reality and video games.  His passion always has been and always will be working with educators and the educational community.

Dr. Mike Luckett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. After receiving his doctorate in Marketing from the University of Georgia, Dr. Luckett worked at the University of Central Florida before joining the USFSP faculty in 2001. His research primarily focuses on consumer and retailer-driven issues in addition to developing a better understanding of student engagement in the classroom.

Interim Regional Chancellor

Its Been A Big Year at USF St. Petersburg

Martin Tadlock, Ph.D., is the Interim Regional Chancellor at USF St. Petersburg. He began service at USFSP in July, 2016, as the Regional Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Among other things, Tadlock has worked closely with faculty to develop the institution’s first Master Academic Plan, providing a curricular road map for the next five years. He has secured new partner universities as part of an initiative to globalize the university, and he has worked closely with departments across campus on new efforts aimed at ensuring student success.

Prior to joining USFSP, Tadlock served as Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College in northern Minnesota. Previously he was Assistant Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Provost at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

What Heather Does With Her Days…
A Glimpse Into the World of a Deep-Sea Researcher.

Dr. Heather Judkins is an assistant professor in the Department of Biology at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island, Master’s degree in Science Education from Nova Southeastern University and her PhD in Biological Oceanography from the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on understanding the evolution, ecology, and biogeography of cephalopods with a main focus currently in the Gulf of Mexico, studying deep-sea cephalopods in response to the 2010 oil spill.

John Stanko earned his Master of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth in 2005, and is an assistant professor of graphic design at the University of South Florida Saint Petersburg with over 15 years of teaching experience. He has created hundreds of illustrations for the gaming industry. Some of the projects he has worked on include Sony Entertainment’s Legends of Norrath, Hasbro’s Magic the Gathering, Star Wars Galaxies TCG, Lord of the Rings LCG, Star Wars LCG, Dungeons and Dragons 4e and World of Warcraft TCG. His work has been recognized at both Gen-Con and DragonCon and in 2008 he was nominated for a Chesley award. His work was accepted into the prestigious Spectrum 18, 19, 20: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art. He also created cover art for TOR, ImagineFX and Nightshade Publishing.
