Any registered student at the USFSP campus is eligible to obtain health care services at the Wellness Center.

Appointments

You need to make an appointment to be seen by a health-care provider. Appointments can be made by calling 727-873-4422 Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Health Services at the Wellness Center are available Monday-Wednesday & Friday 8am-5pm and Thursday 9:30am-5pm (Closed 12pm-1pm daily).

Emergencies & After Hours

In case of a medical or mental health emergency, call 911.

If you have a medical concern and the Wellness Center is closed, speak with the Nurse Advice Line by calling 727-873-4422. If your medical condition cannot wait until the center is open, visit a nearby walk-in clinic or hospital.

NOTE: Students are responsible for all financial obligations incurred when seeing a medical provider.

Costs & Fees

Most routine office visits are available at no charge to you because of the Health Fee, which is included in the cost of your tuition. Fees are often charged for additional services, such as lab tests, special procedures and equipment. Here is a list of additional fees.

Insurance Billing & Payment Information

If you have health insurance coverage, Student Health Services can bill your insurance company directly for covered services. In addition, you will not have to pay a copay for the visit. If you provide SHS with insurance information but do not want your insurance billed for a specific service, be sure to let the SHS staff know you want to self-pay when you check out. SHS accepts Visa or MasterCard for payment or charges due can be transferred to your OASIS account.

Student Health Insurance is coordinated through USF Tampa Student Health Services.
