Welcome to USF St. Petersburg!
You are about to become a USF St. Petersburg student and start a very exciting chapter in your life. In preparation for this, New Student Orientation offers three different programs to help you become more acquainted with our community. We aim to create an informative and fun-filled transition into the USF St. Petersburg community. New Student Orientation not only familiarizes students with their new campus, but also exposes students to curricular and co-curricular opportunities and resources.
- You are considered a freshman student if you have attempted less than 12 college-level credits after graduation from high school.
- Credits earned through dual enrollment or by exams will be used to determine class standing after matriculation but do not confer transfer status in the admission process.
You are considered a transfer student if you have attempted 12 or more college credits.
Parent & Family Orientation is not required, but is recommended for the parents of freshman students.
Parents and family of transfer students are invited to attend their student’s Transfer Orientation but do not have a separate program.
Are you unsure about which program you should register for? Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 727-873-4754.
