Doing Business in Europe
Dates Program Highlights This study abroad program will visit two of Europe’s most visited and beautiful cities. Paris and London offer students the opportunity to explore the history and culture of Europe as well as the vibrant nature of two of the most historic European economies. Students will tour multiple local or international businesses and/or government institutions. 5 nights in Paris, France - The capital city is the largest in France and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Paris is also one of the worlds top business and cultural centers. 5 nights London, England - The capital city of England and the UK and the largest GDP city in Europe. London is a leading world financial center and one of the most visited cities in Europe. Students registering for MAN 4600 and the Study Abroad trip will register for Summer C and complete 5 weeks of classes at USFSP prior to leaving the country. All assignments and exams will be completed during this time. The remaining 15 hours of class time will be experienced abroad via presentations, discussions and tours of various government, business, and cultural venues. How to Apply This information is found in our "How to Apply/ Forms" page. Please make sure that you have filled out all five parts of the application, and have printed out a copy of your deposit before you turn in your application in to BAY 204. Financial Aid and Scholarships Students may apply for Federal or State Financial Aid for this USFSP course. There are many second party study abroad scholarships. For more details on financial aid go to our Funding page or contact the Study Abroad office.
The Study Abroad office will register students for the course once the deposit and the application are accepted. Students may register for three credits in MAN 4600 International Management. Eligibility Students need not be USF students to attend the course. Students must be at least 18 years old. Program Schedule A pre-departure orientation and several classes will be held at USFSP before departure. Organized visits are planned that are a compulsory part of the course. Travel Once the enrollment limit of students is reached the best possible group rate will be reserved. All students must travel with the instructor to the arriving city of London/Paris. Each participant must have a valid passport. It is the student's responsibility to obtain any necessary visas. Students who are not U.S. citizens are welcome to sign up; however, they must have a valid passport, and are responsible for researching whether their visa requirements are different from those for U.S. citizens. In addition, they are responsible for making sure that are eligible to reenter the U.S. after the trip. Insurance The State of Florida requires that all students studying abroad maintain adequate medical insurance for illness and injury. Students must show proof of health insurance coverage that is also valid outside the United States. USFSP provides all students with evacuation coverage. All participants are responsible for obtaining and carefully reviewing the USFSP Study Abroad General Information Sheet.
