H1N1 (Swine) Flu Vaccination
at Campus Activity Center (CAC) core, 10am-2pm
H1N1 vaccine clinic for USFSP students, faculty, administration, and staff.  Bring your USFSP Identification card. Vaccines will be coordinated through Pinellas County Health Department.

Saturday, February 20th
Relationship workshop "How to Avoid Falling in Love With a Jerk(ette)"
at FCT (Florida Center for Teachers) Building, Room 118, 9am-5pm (lunch included!)

The event provides the opportunity for victims of violence to express their emotions on t-shirts displayed on Harborside lawn.

Super Girls Speak Out: Inside the Secret Crisis of Overachieving Girls
at Davis 130 , 12pm-1pm
Presentation by Liz Funk, national speaker on Women’s issues. This presentation focuses on the pressure of women to be “perfect,” in a fast-paced, technologically based world. Learn how to slow down and understand who you are how you matter.

at Harborside Lawn
The true statistics on depression and suicide.

Tuesday, April 13th
Beat Stress Before it Beats You
at CAC 133, 6pm-7pm
Join Peer Educators to talk about the effects stress can have on your day to day life.
Refreshments will be served.

Thursday, April 15th
QPR Suicide Prevention Training
at CAC 133, 1pm-2pm
Question, Persuade, and Refer
Learn to recognize warning signs, provide support, and save a life.

Groups

Introduction to Meditation and Relaxation

  • The practice of seeing things clearly by engaging in moment to moment awareness.
  • Incorporates a focus on the present with a non-judgmental attitude to enhance clarity and overall well-being.
  • Can be utilized to counter the effects of difficult emotional and interpersonal experiences
  • Allows individuals to be more open to and understanding of their experiences.This group will meet from 1:00pm-2:00 pm on the following Thursdays: Feb 25th, March 4th, March 18th, and March 25th.

Attendance at the first session is mandatory. Space is limited so please sign up early if interested.
No experience is necessary. Please dress comfortably and bring a mat or towel.

Student Connection 'Inside Out' - An LGBTQ support group

Welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning USFSP students. Explore: coming out, sexuality, identity, self esteem, connecting with others, relationshipls, homophobia, and other topics of interest

This group will meet from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Mondays beginning February 15th to May 3rd at Terrace 300.
