To provide leadership in safety practices and compliance for the USFSP community.
We will help empower the USFSP Community to be a leader in safe and compliant practices in all our Higher Education endeavors.
We, as the USFSP Safety & Compliance Division, will support the University of South Florida St Petersburg and surrounding community by providing expertise pertaining to occupational health & safety, fire safety, laboratory safety, indoor air quality and emergency management. We will be Safety & Compliance advocates for safe procedures, a healthy environment, hazard prevention and increased safety awareness in the USFSP community.
Integrity – We intend to implement, monitor and support the use of best practices of risk control above and beyond minimum requirement for the benefit of the advancement of research and academics in the university.
Collaboration – We will foster and maintain cooperative relations with all USF System departments and external safety organizations that supplement the safe standards necessary for the university operations.
Trust – We uphold a commitment to accuracy, thorough safety compliance review and assessment in order to cultivate an environment of confidence and credibility with the university patrons.
