Research is Student-Centered The more successful faculty is engaged in the research process; the more directly involved are our students. Faculty and students share a vested interest in this research experience. This shared vision is essential to the continued growth and development of our vibrant research culture at USFSP. The culture is built upon a solid research foundation that includes the USFSP Mission, Values, Vision, and statement of goals. Unique to research is the development of programs and activities that continue to enhance the research culture. The Undergraduate Symposium 2011 marks its 8th year. The Symposium is a showcase for innovative research, scholarship and creative work that USFSP undergraduate students have produced during the past year under the tutelage and with the support of faculty. The Student Research Journal (SRJ) premiers in FALL 2010 and begins a new chapter in e USFSP's history. Student Research Journal (SRJ) allows USFSP to follow in the tradition of student scholarship found at many other schools, including Berkeley, Clemson, and Harvard University. The USFSP Student Research Journal is currently seeking manuscripts for its premier issue. The SRJ is to be published on an interactive, dynamic web site that allows students and faculty to update online information automatically. A database will index, cross-reference, and retrieve publications easily. Style guides, adapted from the APA, MLA, and Chicago will be used to standardize writing conventions. submission information, forms, and faculty mentor information will be accessible online. A rolling publication system will allow for flexibility in publishing special issues and rolling our new editions. Student Research Journal - Application Student Research Journal - Flyer
