08-0074P GRAND THEFT AUTO, ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY 02/09/08
On this date at approximately 1:20AM a USF Officer while on patrol, in the area of 6th A/S and 2nd S/S noticed a parked Dodge van with it's dome light on. As he investigated further he noticed an unknown black male exit the vehicle and flee on foot in the direction RHO and CAC. At that point he requested assistance and checked the vehicle. He found that the the vehicle's ignition and door lock had been tampered with. As he and St.Petersburg Police units circulated the area, he located three black males on the north steps of CAC. Once he tried to make contact they all fled but were later located by SPPD, near All Children's Hospital. All were found to be juveniles, and were Trespassed from campus. The case was turned over SPPD as the crime occurred in their jurisdiction. Officer Lickenfelt investigated, case status, cleared as assist outside agency.
