College is not just a new journey for students, but for parents and families as well. USF St. Petersburg's Parent & Family Orientation program is here to answer the myriad of questions surrounding a student's first time in college. This orientation program is an optional program for family members of first time in college students. It has been highly rated in the past and gives parents helpful information to support your student, especially during the critical first year. The program gives family members an introduction to campus resources, opportunities to ask questions, meet others and see our beautiful campus. For space reasons we cannot accept more than 2 guest per student. One to two parent(s), guardian(s) or spouse(s) can attend our optional Parent & Family Orientation. The Parent & Family program is limited to these relationships to students. The orientation program and atmosphere is not appropriate for siblings or other guests. The Parent & Family Orientation is held concurrently during the same dates and times as the First Time in College Orientation. However, this program only occurs on the first day of the student program. The Parent & Family program will end after dinner on the first day and USF St. Petersburg does not provide overnight accommodations for parents. Check nearby hotel information. The success of your student is our top priority. By sharing this information with parents, you can help ensure the success of your student. We encourage you to email or call the office of orientation if you have any questions. Our office email address is orientation@stpete.usf.edu and phone number is (727) 873-4754. There is a fee for the program that can be paid by credit or debit card. It covers your meals during the program and the cost of supplies.
