Digital Journalism and Design Online M.A.

The Digital Journalism and Design M.A. Program is a 100% online graduate program that can be completed in as little as one year (three semesters). Since fall 2012, the program has welcomed students of all ages and experience levels. With classes in multimedia reporting, production, web development, social media, law, ethics, visual communications, and entrepreneurship, the DJD program equips students with the skills necessary to do journalism in a digital age.

The VideoWorks staff works closely with Journalism and Media Studies faculty to produce timely, engaging and immersive course content for this 30 credit program. Instructors use the Canvas learning management system to maximize faculty-student interaction, and just like the department’s on-campus accredited skills courses, DJD class sizes do not exceed 20.
