USF St. Petersburg students will exhibit their knowledge and creative work with poster presentations during the 14th annual USF St. Petersburg Student Research Symposium. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 in the University Student Center ballrooms.

The event aims to enable students to showcase the innovative research they conducted individually or as part of a group throughout the year.

“This symposium not only showcases the fabulous research our students are conducting, it also reflects the culture of curiosity and critical inquiry that is at the heart of any great university,” said Thomas Smith, associate professor of political science and director of the University Honors Program.

Last year’s symposium featured topics that ranged from the biology of music and medieval meals to breakdowns of crime.
