USF St. Petersburg senior Jozef Gherman is the first student from USFSP to be admitted to the Order of the Golden Brahman during the recent induction ceremony. The USF-based booster organization, which was founded by President Judy Genshaft in 2012, represents 142 student and alumni leaders from across the USF System.

“The USF Order of the Golden Brahman is a prestigious leadership group representing the USF System that identifies and recognizes influential leaders who commit to serve as future advocates of the university,” said Bill McCausland, executive director of the USF Alumni Association and Order of the Golden Brahman Charter Member and Advisor. “Unlike most student organizations, this group’s mission is more about what the individual will do to protect and promote USF after graduation than as a student.”

Gherman is a finance major in the Kate Tiedemann College of Business and has held several campus leadership positions, including USF Trustee.

“This campus offers everything you need to succeed,” said Gherman. “You just have to grab the bull by the horns, and that’s exactly what I did.”
