Two King O’Neal scholars and the Spring 2016 Outstanding Graduate award recipient will be among the nearly 500 graduates recognized during the USFSP Spring Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 8.

King O’Neal scholars are recognized for their academic excellence and for maintaining a GPA of 4.0 or higher. The recipients will include Julia Strauss, who will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and Corey Yeung, who will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in International Business.

Strauss also has been selected as this year’s Outstanding Graduate award recipient. During her time at USFSP, she also received two other academic awards: Spanish Student of the Year and Junior Psychology Student of the Year, both in 2015. After graduation, she will pursue a Master of Education in Special Education at Vanderbilt University.

This year, USFSP will host two ceremonies to accommodate all of the graduates who elect to walk. Ceremonies will be held at the Mahaffey Theater.
