St. Petersburg’s Population Gets Younger as the City Grows Larger

Mayor Kriseman and Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin, along with top economic development officials, presented an update on the state of the city’s economy at USF St. Petersburg on Tuesday, Nov. 3. One of the most notable developments included the change in city’s demographics: Not only is the city growing but its residential population is now 6.3 years younger on average than it was in 1970.
