A Message From the Regional Chancellor

Dear Campus Community,

As we welcome students and faculty back from the summer break, USF St. Petersburg joins universities across the country which have expressed concern about the recent events in Charlottesville.

Inclusion of differences is among our core values at USFSP. The safety and security of our students is our top priority. There is no room on a college campus for intolerance, hate or violence.

Like other outstanding universities, we are committed to providing a welcoming environment for talented students, faculty and staff from around the world. We exist, in part, to ensure greater understanding of worldviews and foster acceptance.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Our leaders in Academic and Student Affairs, Martin Tadlock and Patti Helton, also are available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,
Sophia Wisniewska, Regional Chancellor
