Professors at USF St. Petersburg conduct wide-ranging, collaborative research to meet society’s needs and engage students in service projects and partnerships to enhance the university and community’s social, economic and intellectual life. Graduate students gain valuable experience working alongside nationally and world-renowned researchers and benefit from their expertise in the classroom. Faculty and students are fortunate to have access to the Poynter Library’s collection of over 242,000 volumes featuring business, education, liberal arts, and marine science. The library subscribes to more than 575 periodicals including local and national newspapers. Over 25,000 electronic journals and newspapers augment these print collections and faculty and students enjoy access to 800 proprietary databases, over a quarter-million electronic books, and 1,348,700 images.
The Office of Research supports faculty and students in their research endeavors including providing research funding opportunities, proposal development, and compliance. Graduate student research is highlighted during Research Month each spring.
