USF St. Petersburg is committed to providing the best education for students as they prepare for life.
We are committed to being responsive to our students, the faculty and the community.
The College of Business
Whether it’s in programs of traditional strength, like accounting and finance, or emerging areas like entrepreneurship, we are preparing the next generation of business leaders with the knowledge and skills they will need in the workplace.
Our graduates already are leaders in the Tampa Bay business community, from major accounting firms to Fortune 500 companies. They have succeeded because of the knowledge and hands-on experiences they received at the College of Business. USF St. Petersburg students enjoy smaller classes led by challenging faculty members in a creative environment.
A new facility
Plans are underway for a new building for the College of Business. The will have 89,800 square feet of space to serve the ever-expanding student enrollment of almost 1,600. Key elements of the new facility are:
- Student focused environments.
- Technology-enhanced classrooms.
- Collaborative learning facilities.
- Space for the community to come together.
For academic programs to thrive they must be supported by state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. An investment in the construction and enhancement of the College’s facilities is essential to providing a learning environment that inspires creativity, collaboration and community engagement.
Attract the best and brightest faculty
Our faculty are true teachers and scholars, as committed to inspiring our students to learn and grow as they are to generating new knowledge in their fields and to engaging in applied research and outreach in the community.
Continuing to attract the best faculty requires having the professional development and research funds to retain them. Goals in this area include increasing the amount of endowed academic chairs and professorships and developing funds for faculty research and development.
Gifts to support academic programs provide the university’s leadership with the resources to fund innovative programs, bring prominent lecturers to campus, invest in faculty and staff, and furnish more resources to maintain a high caliber university.
Fellowships allow the University to offer financial assistance competitive with other universities, attract and reward exceptional graduate students and strengthen graduate programs. Fellowship funds can be used to enhance the graduate student’s experience through tuition assistance, research, conference attendance and more.
