USFSP Self-Paced GIS Workshop

What? Self-paced GIS workshops, covering various topics including:

Who? Anyone interested in acquiring and enhancing his/her GIS skills!
These workshops are open to local, regional and international audiences.
Note: Self-paced workshops are recommended for participants who have some working knowledge of GIS (theory and applications) and interested in learning the new software ArcGIS 9.x. It is NOT recommended for participants who have no theoretical background in GIS.
How unique? Self-Paced Workshop:

  • Assistance available via email/phone
  • Certificate of Completion at end of course upon submission of *.jpgs
  • Install data on your computer and 180-day student version of ArcGIS (with limited extensions)
Instructor-Led Workshop:
  • More in-depth with full-blown ArcGIS software extensions as well as lectures
  • On 9am-4pm schedule
  • On-site (USF St. Petersburg)
  • Instructor available in class
  • Certificate of Completion at end of course
  • Use lab computers with complete suite software extensions and data pre-installed
When? Any time! Since it is a self-paced workshop, you can take it at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days in a year.
Where? Anywhere! The only thing you need is a computer with an internet service which allows you to do your homework.
Workshop package? One CD containing PDF handbook with the exercises and data for the exercises, plus GIS software CD with ArcGIS 9(student version if required).
Upon proof of successful completion, an official Certificate of Completion will be issued.
Costs?
  • $150 US dollars for one workshop (equivalent to Instructor-led one-day workshop), or
  • $280 US dollars for two workshops (equivalent to Instructor-led two-day workshops).
