Multicultural Student Scholarships A-D AFB Scholarship Program Criteria: Students who are blind or visually impaired. Deadline: April 30 Amount of Scholarship: not available Additional Information: www.afb.org Contact: American Foundation for the Blind AICPA Minority Scholarships and Fellowships Criteria: Undergraduate students must be: * A declared accounting major with an overall accounting grade point average of at 3.0. * A minority student who has satisfactorily completed at least 30 semester hours of college work, including at least six semester hours in accounting. * Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student, unless completing the final semester of study, at a four-year school. Students who will be attending a four-year school for the first time must include an acceptance letter from the school. Applicant must also be a minority student who has satisfactorily completed at least 30 semester hours, or 45 quarter hours, or equivalent college work, including at least six semester hours (or equivalent) in accounting. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours or equivalent), unless completing the final semester of study, at a four-year or upper division institution. Students who will be transferring to a four-year school for the first time must include an acceptance letter from the school. Graduate: Applicant must be a minority graduate student who was an undergraduate accounting major and is presently accepted in a masters-level accounting, business administration, finance, or taxation program, OR who had any undergraduate major and is presently accepted in a masters-level accounting program. Inquiries for applications will only be accepted in September and at the start of each school year Deadline: November 15 Amount of Scholarship: Varies Contact: Charles and Anna Elenberg Foundation Collegiate Scholarship Program Criteria: Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at a four-year college or university majoring in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Administration. Funding permitting, students pursuing degrees in other high-impact majors (i.e. Education) may also be considered. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Scholarships are primarily, but not exclusively intended for disadvantaged minority students with an emphasis on Latino and/or Hispanic students.
