The USFSP wireless network gives students the ability to roam the Internet with the latest wireless networking technology.
Four wireless standards, 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n, are supported in numerous indoor and outdoor locations. For best performance, the recommended range from one of our access points is about 100 feet. Click the icon for registration.
Connecting
Connecting to the wireless network at USFSP is easy. All you need is:
- Have a wireless card in your computer. Typically wireless adapters built into laptops have the best performance.
- Have a valid USF NetID. Students, faculty or staff can activate their NetID at University Network Access.
Choose either the USF or USF-GOLD signal and connect. If prompted, enter you USF NetID and password.
The first time you log in to the USFSP wireless network, your browser will open to the Network Registration Server page. Just follow the instructions and you should be online in 2 minutes or less!
Guest Access
USFSP now offers an easy way for visitors to connect to the network.
Just have your phone ready, click USF-Guest in your available networks menu, and follow the instructions. After entering your phone number, you will receive an activation code good for 24 hours on one device.
