No longer bound by physical connections, students, faculty and staff can catch the rays and feel the breeze a hundred feet from the water or surf the Internet minutes before class starts — at the speed of standard broadband connection. The recommended range extends from each of the wireless access locations, outward by about 200 feet.

The USFSP wireless network gives students the ability to roam the Internet with the latest wireless networking technology. Four wireless standards, 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n, are supported in numerous indoor and outdoor locations.
