Faculty Web Sites

Each faculty member at USF St. Petersburg may request website storage space on the Campus Computing Web Server, commonly known around campus as the “w: drive.” Faculty Web sites may be used only educational purposes — to assist in a technology-oriented learning experience. Here are some sample uses for faculty Web site:

Biographical Information Course Information Research
Academic Experience Contact Information Publications
Industry Experience Curriculum Surveys
Community Service Coursework Projects
Publications Documents/forms References/indices

Faculty members may request website storage space by sending an email to helpdesk@usfsp.edu. Once the storage space has been allocated, the “w: drive” will show up as a network, or mapped, drive on your computer. Published websites are accessible by typing http://faculty.usfsp.edu/bayboro_username/ in your web browser’s URL field.

The rest is up to you!

Please note: Campus Computing does not support large Content Management Systems like WordPress CMS and Joomla. All content must be designed locally and uploaded to your server folder.
