ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION
By taking the USFSP core courses and two audiology/hearing courses, you are eligible to apply to most graduate programs in Florida in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Applying to any graduate degree program in Communication Sciences and Disorders will also require a high GPA, high GRE scores, and 3 letters of recommendation.
In addition, as part of the Health Sciences degree you have the option of two open or free electives. Open and free means that the electives can be taken from USF Tampa or USF Sarasota-Manatee. The two electives cover areas of hearing and audiology.
- SPA 3030 Introduction to Hearing Science (3)
- SPA 3310 Introduction to Hearing Disorders (3)
The University of Florida and the University of Central Florida (UCF) will accept the same courses as USF Tampa.
UCF will accept all of the courses; however, instead of SPA 3030 they ask that you take: SPA 4321 Audiological Rehabilitation.
