MBA Update

Spring 2009 had several memorable highlights. A few of the most notable include our ranking in the Major Field Test exam, an exam designed to gauge the overall learning that takes place in an MBA program. Congratulations to the students in Dr. Bill Jackson’s Organizational Strategies class who scored at the 80th percentile compared nationally. Last semester also stands out as the first time our program has hosted a study abroad trip in Guatemala. Led by Dr. Shank and Dr. Ainscough, nineteen of our students learned about sustainable business practices and gained first-hand knowledge of the coffee industry in Guatemala. Another first for our program is the creation of the USF St Petersburg MBA Network. The network may be found on-line at www.linkedin.com. This initiative stemmed from the desire of a few of students an alum to have an avenue to connect, share and discover resources, promote opportunities, and get together for networking socials.
