1. Determine your career
Get to your know your interests, skills, values and personality type through career assessment instruments by making an appointment at The Career Center.
2. Match a career to a major
A question often asked by students is "What can I do with a major in...?". The Career Center and Academic Advising can assist you in researching business majors and the various careers available in those majors.
3. Enhance your academics with experiential learning opportunities
Test out your career choice and obtain career-related work experience to enhance your marketability upon graduation.

Internships
Internships are credited or non-credited learning experiences providing students an opportunity to implement and enhance their academic learning outside the classroom. If you wish to obtain credit for an internship, contact the College of Business for the appropriate forms.

Part-time Employment
A paid position that is geared toward your career aspiration is an excellent way to learn about a career and an industry. Recruit-a-Bull is a database managed by The Career Center that houses such opportunities.

Volunteerism and Civic Engagement
By participating in a volunteer program, you will benefit by gaining experience, making an impact on a societal problem, feeling good about yourself, and having fun at the same time.
To learn more about opportunities available, contact Volunteer Services (Terrace 200, 727-873-4990) or Center for Civic Engagement (Terrace 400, 727-873- 4773)

Student Orgranizations & Professional Associations
Student clubs and organizations are excellent ways to become involved in the campus community, as well as, take on leadership roles. The College of Business has three active student organizations:
Beta Alpha Psi (BAP)
, Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) and the Student Business Organization (SBO).

Many professional associations allow students to attend their monthly meetings at a discount or for free. This is a great way to learn more about a career and to network with those in the field. Click the links below to check out the professional association pages for each major.
