Program Requirements

A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics is offered through the College of Arts and Sciences.  Students are required to complete 33 credits in Economics courses in addition to their other degree requirements.

Choosing Courses for your Economics minor 

Each of these required and elective courses are 3 hours.  ECO 3101 may be substituted for ECP 3703.  Students must obtain a grade of “C” or higher in ECP 3703 or ECO 3101 in order to enroll in any course for which these classes are prerequisites.  FIN 3223 may be substituted for one of the upper-division Economics electives.  No more than 3 credits from ECO 4905 and/or ECO 4914 can be applied toward a major.

Minor in Economics

Students can earn a minor in Economics by satisfactorily completing 18 hours in Economics classes, including:
ECO 2013 Macroeconomics                                
ECO 2023 Microeconomics                                 
Economics courses numbered 3000 or higher
