This award was well deserved as the Basketball Club has worked tirelessly throughout the year to make a name for themselves on campus and in the community. In the Fall semester, they held multiple NBA watch parties so that students could get to know the club. They also held an All Star game, where students spectated and members of the club competed against each other in friendly competition. During the Spring semester, they held the 1st Annual Purple and Teal game, which raised awareness for sexual assault and domestic violence. There were presentations from the Wellness Center and Victim Advocate, as well as the Dean of Students. There were over 80 students/faculty/staff in attendance, and this event proves to be an amazing tradition for the Basketball Club. The Basketball Club has raised the bar for not only Sport Clubs, but also Student Organizations, by holding themselves to a higher standard, and continuing to find innovative ways to get the campus community involved. Way to go!
