This past Monday, the strategic planning process at USF St. Petersburg moved forward when a diverse team of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members gathered at the University Student Center.
More than 70 members of the Vision Team created a mind map of key elements impacting students, the university and the overall social ecosystem. After prioritizing what was most important to various stakeholder groups, the Vision Team used the mind map as a basis for discussion during a day long meeting the next day, Tuesday, November 19, 2013, also in the University Student Center.
There was lively interaction in mixed groups of students, faculty, staff, members of the business community and supporters of USFSP and the day ended with determining locations to visit as “learning journeys” over the next couple months.
Vision Team members will take these learning journeys to organizations that can provide valuable insight into some of the critical questions about the future of USFSP.
Open forums for faculty, students, staff and other groups will also take place early in the new year to broaden the discussion. To see a roadmap of upcoming events and learn more about the process, please visit http://www.usfsp.edu/
