The Regional Chancellor Search Advisory Committee today recommended that USF System President Judy Genshaft consider three candidates for the position of Regional Chancellor of USF St. Petersburg.
The recommendations came at the end of the second day of committee interviews of six candidates for the post. The committee’s recommendations now go to President Genshaft. Candidates will be invited to USF St. Petersburg in the coming weeks for a series of meetings with stakeholders.
The three recommended candidates in alphabetical order are:
- Ron Brown, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich.
- Ralph Rogers, Ph.D., Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Ind.
- Sophia Wisniewska, Ph.D., Chancellor, Penn State Brandywine, Media, Pa.
“It was an impressive pool of candidates the committee considered and choosing the final three was not easy,” said Frank Biafora, Ph.D., committee chair and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
