ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (April 12, 2011) – The Walgreens Bayside Business Forum on April 13 will welcome St. Petersburg-based author Peter Kageyama for a discussion of his new book, For the Love of Cities: The Love Affair between People and Their Places. His discussion, titled “What Makes a City Lovable,” will explain why emotional connection matters in developing successful communities.
“We’re looking forward to having Peter share the themes from his book, especially how they relate to St. Petersburg and our region,” said Maling Ebrahimpour, dean of the College of Business. “St. Pete is lucky to have an innovative thinker who can show students, residents and business leaders how the emotional connections they have with their city can create new opportunities for social, economic and community development.”
The Walgreens Bayside Business Forum is presented by the Dean’s Advisory Council of the College of Business at USFSP. The series focuses on interdisciplinary collaborations that are shaping Florida’s business future.
