To Apply For Graduation:

• Obtain a Bachelors Degree Graduation Application and submit it to the Advising Office (DAV134).
• Participate in commencement USF system commencement site.

The College of Education Offers:

• Bachelor of Science in Education with Certifications in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education with endorsements in Reading and ESOL

Preliminary Requirements for Students Entering Teacher Education Programs:

Students who wish to teach in a particular subject area or field should begin preliminary coursework during their first year in college. However, students cannot be admitted to the College of Education (and into a teacher education program) until they finish the university’s liberal arts freshman and sophomore requirements and the College of Education admissions criteria.

After students finish prerequisite courses, they may apply for admission to the college.  To demonstrate that you meet the College admission requirements, you must bring the following items to the advising session:

• Official Transcripts from each college or university attended 
• Documentation of successful completion of the FTCE General Knowledge Test.

General Knowledge Test (Certification Requirement)

• The General Knowledge Test is a basic skills achievement test containing four subtests: Mathematics (45 multiple-choice items), Reading (40 multiple-choice, passage-based items), and English Language Skills (40 multiple-choice items), and Essay.
  

• A candidate does not need to take the General Knowledge Test if he/she took and passed all subtests of the CLAST before July 1, 2002.
