International Admissions Who is an international applicant? Any student applying for admission to USF St. Petersburg will be considered international if:
International admissions International applicants must meet the same admissions criteria as domestic students. See Admissions Requirements - First Time in College (FTIC) or Admissions Requirements - Transfer. To be considered for admission, international applicants must submit the following:
International credentials must be evaluated by a foreign transcript evaluation service, with associated costs to be paid by the student. Language Requirements All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language. International applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (internet-based test) or 550 (written test), or minimum IELTS score of 6.5 taken within 2 years of the desired term of entry. See below for a list of English Speaking Countries from which an applicant will not be required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. NOTE: Positive results on the SAT (Critical Reading and Writing) or ACT (English/Writing and Reading) may be used to waive the TOEFL/IELTS requirement. Please send your official test scores electronically using school code 1537.
