Research Council
To evaluate applications for the USFSP Internal Research Grant Program and recommend applications for funding.
To review research policies being developed for the USF system and make recommendations if aspects of the policies are not appropriate for USFSP.
To serve as a selection committee for the USFSP Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Creative Activities. Applications are forwarded to the Academic Awards and Misconduct Committee, which makes the final determination.
To promote faculty education and workshops on topics related to research and scholarship
To support the academic freedom of faculty to pursue scholarship.
To recommend policies or activities to enhance the research culture at USFSP.
